Already known for his work with Born Of Osiris, guitarist Lee McKinney is venturing out on his own with a new solo album entitled ‘Infinite Mind’. Despite releasing two studio albums with Born Of Osiris this year, McKinney works to showcase his top-tier signwriting capabilities with his expansive solo effort due for release on the 29th of March via Sumerian Records.

Tapping into a number of musical styles, this all-instrumental offering is an exciting ride from start to finish. In explaining his new project, McKinney shared that, ‘I’ve been working so hard on this album for a few years now, but I truly feel it is the culmination of 20 years with my instrument.’ And with the release date fast approaching, McKinney has released a guitar playthrough of the first, and reportedly the heaviest, track on the record entitled ‘A Neverending Explosion’. Additionally, McKinney has also released a second song entitled ‘The Sun And The Wind’ in which McKinney displays his more melodic side.

In promoting the track, McKinney stated that, ‘‘A Neverending Explosion’ is a song that I feel really showcases a lot of what Infinite Mind is. This track has the ‘heaviest’ metal style vibe by far, but it also showcases the soft and emotional feelings that really make this record personal and special to me … There’s also a ton of clean guitar and saxophone on the record. There are heavy and aggressive moments as well. This specific track gives you a lot the elements of Infinite Mind wrapped into a 3 minute and 45 second package.’

Be sure to catch the album on the 29th and be sure to be on the lookout for and dates with McKinney in the future.
