Tennessee deathcore titans Whitechapel release their fourth single from their upcoming album entitled ‘The Valley’. Scheduled for release on the 29th of April via Metal Blade Records, ‘The Valley’ will be the bands seventh full length studio release.

Mixed by David Castillo, mastered by Ted Jensen and produced once again by Mark Lewis, the album’s title ‘The Valley’ is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley where vocalist Phil Bozeman spent his childhood. Set against this emotional backdrop, Phil makes sure to approach the subject unflinching in his resolve. Building upon everything that came before, Phil makes it clear that he has survived that which he was forced to endure and that he is not afraid to confront it.

In speaking about the ‘The Valley’s’ lyrical direction, guitarist Alex Wade made it crystal clear that he and the rest of the band stand 100% behind everything that Phil has to say. Explaining further, Alex notes that ‘Phil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that … I feel our music is Phil’s release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well’.

In terms of what to expect from the new album, Bozeman goes on to say, that ‘sound-wise, its all over the place … There’s aggression, and then you’re hit with ominous and emotional guitar riffs. It’s mean, but then transfers to soft and inviting. It’s a whirlwind of emotions throughout.’

Ahead of the release of ‘The Valley’, the band have unveiled their forth single entitled ‘When A Demon Defiles A Witch’ alongside a music video directed by Mathis Arnell of Naughty Mantis Studios. Watch the video below to stream the brutality.
