The wait is over! Returning after five years, Californian Deathcore metalers Impending Doom are back with a new release that is "a heavy straight to the point record that our genre of music seems to be lacking today".

Marking the 6th studio release, Impending Doom have decided to steer away from the top-genre producers like Will Putney who has worked with bands like Every Time I Die and Thy Art Is Murder and have instead opted to take a more hands on and grassroots approach to the engineering and producing process. In doing so, they have enlisted Christopher Eck, who produced their first album, to recapture some of the magic from 2007's Nailed. Dead. Risen.

Released on the 22nd of June 2018, bassist David Sittig explained the thinking behind the recording process by saying that “When we started writing these songs, it brought back a nostalgic feeling and a similar sound to how we first started and it felt like the old days” and in keeping with that “We wanted the record to sound more raw and not as polished".

Bassist David Sittig also explained the noticeable absence of the band from the live setting adding that as a result of band members getting married and settling down with families, Impending Doom has not been in a position to hit to stage. “We want to do more than what we have been, but the days of hopping in a van and going across the states for a month,” Sittig says, those probably will never happen again”. Yet rest assured Sittig closed by stating “We might slow down a bit, but we’re not ever going to go anywhere”.
