Heavy metal titans Grand Magus have announced a brand-new album due for release on the 19th of April via Nuclear Blast Records. As of yet, no details have been released as to what the album will sound like, yet what we do have is some awesome album art created by renowned artist and long-time Grand Magus collaborator Anthony Roberts.

Coming in at album number nine for the band, ‘Wolf God’ was recorded at Sweetspot Studios in Sweden together with producer Staffan Karlsson. Known for his work with bands such as Arch Enemy, Firewind and Spiritual Beggars, ‘the corner stone was laid for another triumphal procession. As the majority of the songs were recorded on the first take, they have an honest, diverse and yet down-to-earth sound that envelops the trio’s true power.’

Alongside the grand unveiling of the new album art, the band released the following statement. ‘For the third time, the magic skill and imagination of Anthony Roberts has given birth to the cover artwork for a Grand Magus album. This time the forest, the moon and obviously the wolf take center stage. Not just any wolf though… beware his fury. This is the WOLF GOD!’
