Progressive tech wizards Warforged unveil a new single ahead of their upcoming full length entitled ‘I: Voice’. Attacking your senses with a rich tapestry of sound, ‘I: Voice’ is set for release on the 10th of May and will be the band’s first full length studio album to follow their initial 2014 effort entitled ‘Essence of the Land’.
Thematically linked to their previous effort, ‘I: Voice’ is set to be a sonically dense listening experience that flows from one end of the metal spectrum to the next with a concentrated focus on maintaining a heightened emotional intensity throughout each movement. Interestingly, much like Equipoise’s new release entitled ‘Demiurgus’, ‘I: Voice’ is set to feature a whole host of guest appearances from bands like Revocation, Entheos, Gorguts, Inferi, Outrun The Sunlight and Alkaloid to name a few.
In speaking of the release, the band have released the following, ‘I: Voice’ is the sum of 5 years of creativity and focused work. The music plays as a stream of consciousness – jumping often from one area of the metal spectrum to the next with recurring melodies and vibes throughout for the purpose of bringing about an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. Since Essence Of The Land & Two Demons came out, we worked to build upon and elaborate on our musical style and mission statement. From what started as an idea of modern death metal with hints at black metal evolved into a more progressive, unique, and “epic” ethos. Horrifying & beautiful, dynamic & aggressive, harmony found through dissonance, an ebb and flow through drama and resolution, a flirtation with memory, a call for collaboration, personality, and reality – immense emotional energy seamlessly woven within the death metal genre’.
