The wait is over. After igniting a furious hunger that spanned the world over with the grand unveiling of ‘Wolf God’’s albums art, heavy metal titans Grand Magus finally satiate our craving with the dropping of the album’s title track.
Due for release on the 19th of April ‘Wolf God’ was recorded in Sweetspot Studios in Sweden, together with producer Staffan Karlson of Arch Enemy, Firewind and Spiritual Beggars fame. In entering the studio once more, ‘the corner stone was laid for another triumphal procession. As the majority of the songs were recorded on the first take, they have an honest, diverse and yet down-to-earth sound that envelops the trio’s true power.’
Available to preorder now the band have announced that ‘Grand Magus has returned and we bring you the awesome power of the Wolf God!’. In speaking about the release Nuclear Blast posit that, ‘‘Wolf God’ rises over the Heavy Metal scene majestically and lets the guitar riffs speak for themselves. The groove and heaviness that were featured on the successful predecessor can also be found on the new, ninth studio album which once again holds a number of future classics’.
As we have reported previously, ‘For the third time, the magic skill and imagination of Anthony Roberts has given birth to the cover artwork for a Grand Magus album. This time the forest, the moon and obviously the wolf take center stage. Not just any wolf though… beware his fury. This is the WOLF GOD!’
